ABA Services for Families, Schools,
and First Responders

Through Applied Behavior Analytic services, TLCBC helps families, schools, and first responders create a foundation of skills that can assist those with Autism or other related developmental disorders.

OUR MISSON

OUR MISSION

It is the mission of TLC Behavior Consulting and Support to provide compassionate, high-level care to families and individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Down’s Syndrome, and other related developmental disorders using evidence-based procedures derived from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and comprehensive training to schools and first responders.

TREATMENT APPROACHES

The different treatment approaches come directly from evidence-based practices of Applied Behavior Analysis. These approaches teach children and families meaningful and functional skills across a variety of developmental areas. Some of these areas that are touched on include self-help skills, communication, play skills, motor skills, an increase in language (whether verbal or nonverbal), etc.

  • Naturalistic Teaching (NET)

  • Pivotal Response Training (PRT)

  • Discrete Trial Training (DTT)

  • Social Skills Training (SST)

  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

  • Behavioral Skills Training (BST)

Treatment approaches are personalized based on a child's and family's needs, and there may be multiple treatment approaches within a program. For example, a young learner might benefit from learning within his environment directly by using both pivotal response and naturalistic teaching. Likewise, an older learner might benefit more from social skills training. The treatment approach will be defined during the assessment process.

HELLO.

I'M CASSANDRA.

cassandra prof.jpg

While I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, I am a mother to a child with Autism before all that. This perspective and my personal experiences give me an intimate knowledge of, and empathy for, other families in similar situations. It is because of this I am able to give high-level care to families full of compassion.

Since 2016 I have worked as a BCBA for another company. While there, I enjoyed celebrating along with a family's daily triumphs and milestone achievements. Being able to work with families so closely was something I wanted to expand on. As a result, I have created a non-profit, TLC Behavioral Consulting Services, an organization that would put families first.

I have made it my mission to provide compassionate, high-level care to families and individuals affected by Autism, ADD/ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, and other related developmental disorders (regardless of financial situation) using evidence-based procedures derived from Applied Behavior Analysis, and comprehensive training to schools and first responders.

It is my hope to help as many children as I can through at-home care and at TLCBC's day treatment center. Through collaboration with the community, we also hope to bring awareness to and share knowledge of developmental disabilities and other related disorders.
